All undergraduate students begin their academic career on the Allendale Campus. Students in this major continue their upper division studies on the GVSU Health Campus, near the Grand Rapids Medical Mile.	Classes for this certificate are offered on the Allendale Campus and downtown on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
Coursework		KCON supports the overall university tradition of liberal education, offering undergraduate degree programs that are well-integrated and accredited, with a state-of-the-art concept-based curriculum. Students receive instruction and gain knowledge in our learning labs, through simulation exercises, and in clinical experiences.	The project management certificate is comprised of 12 credits: CIS 339 - Project Planning CIS 349 - Agile Project Management MGT 345 - Team Building BUS 470 - Applied Business Solutions It is recommended learners take BUS 470 as the final course, as it is a culminating experience applying project management knowledge. These classes provide you with core training in the following competencies: Analytical skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making Interpersonal skills like communication, collaboration, and leadership and responsibility Information processing skills Capacity to innovate and adapt skills
Career Options	School psychologists work directly with students, as well as teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals to impact school buildings, classrooms and student outcomes. There are many career opportunities for school psychologists and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects continued job growth in the field.	Professional nurses perform a wide variety of functions including direct patient care, health care counseling, and leadership in providing and managing care for individuals and groups of clients. Nurses are members of health care teams and may work in hospitals, homes, the community, clinics, or industry - wherever people need care or health education.	According to an EMSI market analysis of job postings requiring a bachelor's degree between October 2018 and September 2019, project management is listed as a top hard skill, with 22,453 or a full 6% of all job postings requiring project management abilities. Further, a project management certification is a top qualification across all job postings, with 3,629 unique jobs requiring such certification. Project Manager is itself the 7th most popular job title in Michigan, with 4,207 unique postings.
Application Deadline	Application deadline for fall semester is January 15. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if the applicant has previously applied to GVSU.
