Students accepted into the program may take up to four, three-credit graduate-level communication courses for a total of 12 credits their senior year. Taken in lieu of free electives, they will count toward the fulfillment of requirements for both their baccalaureate and graduate degrees.

The project management certificate is comprised of 12 credits:

  • CIS 339 - Project Planning
  • CIS 349 - Agile Project Management
  • MGT 345 - Team Building
  • BUS 470 - Applied Business Solutions

It is recommended learners take BUS 470 as the final course, as it is a culminating experience applying project management knowledge.

Further, a project management certification is a top qualification across all job postings, with 3,629 unique jobs requiring such certification. Project Manager is itself the 7th most popular job title in Michigan, with 4,207 unique postings.
