Studio art majors are introduced to the technical and conceptual approaches to the visual arts through a suite of foundation courses. As students continue in the program, they create a personal body of work under the supervision of faculty in their emphases areas. ![]() |
The digital media certificate is comprised of 15 credits. All students will complete three core courses for nine credits:
You will select either the digital content creation track or the innovation and strategy track to complete a minimum of six additional credits. The digital content creation track includes the study of media production, copywriting, graphic design basics, and more. Students accepted into the program may take up to four, three-credit graduate-level communication courses for a total of 12 credits their senior year. Taken in lieu of free electives, they will count toward the fulfillment of requirements for both their baccalaureate and graduate degrees.

Coursework for advanced ASL introduces learners to intermediate sign vocabulary and grammar, nonverbal grammatical elements, fingerspelling, and immersion into the world of ASL. Students are given opportunities to understand basic concepts of American deaf history, to appreciate the culture of deaf people and to understand social and cultural factors causing diversity in the deaf community and in identity choice. Pre-requisite: Applicants without healthcare experience as defined by the admission requirements will be required to take PHN 630 - Health Administration and Service. The certificate content will be delivered in a series of three
