The GSA Headshot & Career Development Event is designed to equip graduate students with essential career development tools, helping them prepare for the job market. This interactive event, taking place on November 1st, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Loosemore Auditorium and Exhibition Hall on GVSU’s Pew Campus, will feature booths offering résumé reviews, LinkedIn optimization, mock interviews, job search strategies, elevator pitch coaching, and professional headshots. There will also be a Q&A panel with industry professionals will provide insights into the recruitment process, employer expectations, and tips for transitioning from academia to the workforce. Students will have the opportunity to earn stamps by visiting each booth and redeeming them for fun giveaways. This event is open to all graduate students at GVSU and aims to offer practical advice and networking opportunities to enhance their career readiness.
