You’re a thinker, creative, and a brilliant dreamer, but how do you get started with the process of connecting all that you have to offer with work and a career?

This event is for students majoring in the humanities.

The humanities explore fundamental questions about the universe and our place in it, help us orient ourselves in history and in the world, and help us communicate and create meaning in a plurality of invaluable ways. Employers also regularly say that they are looking for people with skills that studying the humanities help cultivate (communication, critical thinking, written communication, creative thinking). You are a bright, talented, passionate student majoring in a humanities field, but how do you get started with the process of connecting all that you have to offer with work and a career? Attend this event for advice and discussion with graduates from GVSU Classics, English, History, Modern Languages and Literature, Philosophy, Visual and Media Arts, and Writing. Find out what a group of past humanities majors from GVSU are doing now, how they got there, and the advice they would give to students like you!
