Grand Valley Magazine gets new look

The winter issue of Grand Valley Magazine features a redesigned, fresh look that is due, in part, to reader responses to a fall survey.
The cover story details planning and construction of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall, which expands Grand Valley's health campus north of I-196.
Melba Vélez Ortiz, associate professor of communications, is featured in a story about her uplifting attitude toward her degenerative eye disease, retinitis pigmentosa.
Other stories include nursing students who are providing care in rural areas, and computing students who are in high demand to fill an influx of new jobs.
Video extras show the beauty of Beaver Island, and behind-the-scenes looks at creating a magazine spread, and photographing the dodgeball team.
