GVSU to host Reach Higher celebration on April 17

Grand Valley is celebrating the progress, accomplishments and future of its Reach Higher 2025 initiative at the Pew Grand Rapids Campus on April 17 from 2-5 p.m. at the DeVos Center.

The event highlights GVSU's commitment to leading in public higher education with interactive, immersive experiences, including a spotlight on GVSU Omni and its role in expanding GVSU's reach across Michigan with a flexible learning structure.

The event will also include the latest updates and insights on the Blue Dot Ecosystem, aiming to transform the Grand Rapids tech industry as well as highlighting the latest on the Kirkhof College of Nursing's work on integrating behavioral health into rural care.

President Philomena V. Mantella will share opening remarks at the Loosemore Auditorium at 2:15 p.m. before attendees experience the rest of the event.

Attendees of the 2024 Reach Higher Showcase enjoy some of the interactive, immersive projects on display at the event.

Guests will experience GVx talks with senior leaders on how GVSU is empowering Michigan communities, as well as spotlight conversations with students discussing no-barrier education programs offered by the university.

These projects emphasize Reach Higher 2025's success and continued progress on empowering local and state communities, breaking down barriers in education and empowering learners' educational experiences through revolutionizing learning. 

As the event celebrates the work accomplished by Reach Higher 2025, it will also focus on the future of Reach Higher and the university's commitment to inspire ongoing innovation in Michigan and beyond.
