Commencement Participation Eligibility

Students ARE Eligible If:
  • You have applied to graduate in the current semester.
  • You have applied to graduate in different semester, but requested to walk in the current semester’s ceremony.

Commencement Participation INELIGIBILITY

Students Are NOT Eligible to Participate IF:

You have not applied to graduate in the current semester AND meet one of the following criteria:
  • You did not receive approval from Records/Registration ahead of time to participate.
  • You were not enrolled in the current semester.
  • You did not pursue a degree at GVSU.

Note: Only GVSU students who are degree seeking are eligible to participate in Commencement. This does not include students who are only earning a certificate or badge.
