Lauren Leineke, Italy

Studying abroad in Rome was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and it impacted me in ways I never expected. Traveling independently across Europe challenged me to problem-solve, build confidence, and adapt to new environments and cultures. One of my favorite memories was experiencing Rome's slower dining culture, where meals lasted for hours, allowing me to savor both the food and the company. I also developed a love for walking, which became a healthy habit after spending months exploring the city on foot. The interactions I had with locals, especially the open discussions about politics, gave me a unique insight into cultural differences and similarities. This experience taught me invaluable life skills and deepened my understanding of the world around me.
Lauren studied at John Cabot University in Rome. Student was a Marketing major.
